Although some find the prices too high, and that the only specials are for families (cookies, etc.), there aer other way to keep your costs down. Look for 40% off stickers on meats; use the cellphone app, Too Good To Go, which has several different stores you can choose from. I use Food Basics and get their meat specials when available. $30.00 worth of meat for $15.00 is 50% off the regular price, due to it being close to best before date. If you are not eating the item that day (night), freeze it and enjoy another day. Anyone can use the app... families, seniors, students, all....
You have far less on sale. We, seniors, are struggling and look forward to the weekly flyer, but there hasn't been much on there for us. Cookies pop chips etc, yes, families with kids but it doesn't do much for the old folks.
